Resolved Question: Can we use Chinese spacecraft to fill the "gap" in manned launches to the ISS?

Several stories in the press have covered the gap in manned space flight capability when the Shuttle is retired. NASA was counting on Russian Soyuz flights. Now there is speculation that deteriorating relations with Russia could mean no access to those flights. China has recently ramped up their manned space program. Their spacecraft is an improved version of the Soyuz design. How hard would it be to get a quick program coordinated so we could contract with the Chinese instead for the ISS? Resolved Question: International flight, with long layovers (w/14-week)?

My husband and I will have to take a long International flight (China-West Palm Beach, FL) with 3 layovers, and two of them, Seoul and LAX, are 12hrs and 11hrs. My baby boy will be 14 weeks then. Resolved Question: Climate change - was the Kyoto Protocol (1992) completely unrealistic, or could we have reduced our CO2 output?

For those who do not know, cannot remember, or were having their melon twisted in the Hacienda in 1992, the Kyoto Protocol was basically a big international conference in which guidelines and targets were set for various pollutant emissions; many countries signed up to reduce their emissions. What people did not allow for was the explosion of Easyjet-type cheap flights, China's explosive industrialisation, and US being led out of the protocol by George W. The general purpose was to lower the output of several 'Greenhouse Gasses' by 2012. It is clear that we will totally miss those targets by a mile. Basically, I am asking if the targets were realistic, or are we just too neglectful of our energy consumption?
